This one was a toughie. Hats off to Shreya! She got the painter & a part of the answer right.
The connect is Pablo Picasso. The woman in the first pic is Dora Maar, Picasso's Croatian mistress, inspiration for his painting, Dora Maar au Chat. 2nd pic-Igor Stravinsky, a good friend of Picasso, both collaborated on many works. Picasso even painted a portrait of him. The 3rd pic shows the coat of arms of the town, Guernica, Spain. His painting, Guernica is a depiction of the Nazi bombing of Guernica.
